Stanley Dennis "Stan" Waterman was one of the estates police officers. He is generally friendly, and treated as one of the estate, and is usually willing to bend the rules to help out when the Gallaghers get in trouble. During series 5 he began a relationship with Yvonne Karib. When he asked her to marry him, she revealed that she couldn't because her husband, Kash, was not actually dead. In Series 1-3, his best friend and co-worker is Tony who he lived and worked with in a professional capacity. In Series 2, Stan helped Tony to frame Steve Mcbride on drug charges, and is a witness when Steve is caught up in a struggle and shoots a drug dealer, whom he (Steve) was trying to calm.
