An Offlander, in Ba'ku culture, was someone originating from outside the Ba'ku planet. A related term was the Offland. The Son'a as a group originated trying to emulate the ways of the outlanders. Even in the 23rd century, some Ba'ku children were attracted to stories about the offland, and its faster pace of life (Star Trek: Insurrection)
