Kosovo/1389 was a Serbian nationalist paramilitary organization, founded by Andre Drazen in the 1980s on the campus of the University of Belgrade. The group was named in honor of the Battle of Kosovo in 1389, as a celebration and a warning that contemporary Serbs would soon be called upon to fight for Kosovo. Despite starting with peaceful activities such as pamphlet printing and street demonstrations, Kosovo/1389 gradually became connected to more and more violent acts. In 1986, the government instituted a crackdown, arresting several members and banning the organization outright. Andre Drazen was never arrested or connected to any of the group's crimes.
