The network was founded in 1982 by Al and Tommie Cooper with its first full-powered station based in Roswell, New Mexico. It is now produced in Odessa, Texas by Prime Time Christian Broadcasting with KMLM-TV serving as the flagship station. The network is available on terrestrial broadcast television and cable TV systems. With five full power stations (four of which have DTV counterparts for compliancy with the FCC's 2009 standards) and 22 low-power TV stations, GLC has a solid southwestern United States base. God's Learning Channel is also broadcast from the AMC-4 satellite, as a free-to-air channel on the Intelsat Americas 5 satellite for direct-to-home broadcast dishes, and is available as streaming video over the Internet.
