Beta Canzandia was a star system located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in the space of the Federation near the border of the Klingon Empire. The Beta Canzandia system was location of a planet that was home to a Federation research colony. In 2267, the colony, led by Doctor Carol Marcus, was attacked by Klingon forces seeking the scientific work being performed there upon terraforming theory.
