Ernest Arthur Ebblewhite (1867-1947) was a barrister and local politician. The son of John Henry Ebblewhite of South Hackney and his second wife Amy Louisa née Price of Hornsey. Ebblewhite was called to the bar at the Middle Temple and practised law on the Chester and North Wales Circuit before returning to London where he became involved in local politics. He was a Deputy Coroner for Middlesex, a member of Hornsey Corporation , and served as Mayor of Hornsey in 1908-09. He was a Fellow of Society of Antiquaries, and published a number of books on historical subjects.
