The Baudelaire family is one of the main families featured in A Series of Unfortunate Events. Before it was destroyed, the family resided in the Baudelaire Mansion. The family stems from Bertrand Baudelaire and his wife Beatrice, both of whom perished in the fire that destroyed the Baudelaire Mansion. Their children, who survived the fire, are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Beatrice Snicket, Kit Snicket's daughter, is later adopted by the children. The Baudelaires have an uncle Elwyn who owns a farm and is briefly mentioned in The Austere Academy.
