Odlaw loses his binoculars in every scene in most books he appears in. They are one of five objects that the reader must find in every scene in the Where's Waldo Special Editions and the last three of the Where's Waldo Classics. Waldo also has a pair of binoculars in Where's Waldo and Where's Waldo (Special Edition). Waldo loses his binoculars on the "Ski Slopes" scene in each book. Therefore if you read the special edition, there will be two pairs of binoculars on that scene. Similarly, both Waldo and Wenda lose a camera in the Museum scene.
