C-3PO, or See-Threepio was masculine programmed protocol droid. He was built by Anakin Skywalker, when he was young, however C-3PO never functioned properly. When Anakin left, and his mother Shmi was sold to Cliegg Lars, Cliegg took the time to fix C-3PO. This allowed C-3PO to be on the homestead as a technician when the main systems failed. Later, when Anakin returned, C-3PO joined Anakin and traveled with him to Geonosis. There, C-3PO was adopted into Padmé Amidala’s court and traveled around with her.
