Chansein occurs on the third day of Jumara. It is a day of gluttony and wild indulgence in food. The celebration centers around stuffing people full of food and then some. Not just stuffing bellies, people are sometimes seen stuffing their pockets, or carrying bagfuls of food, and handing them out to everyone they see. The recipient would be ill-mannered to leave even a crumb uneaten. Hot pastries stuffed with meat or dried fruit are a traditional food for this holiday. Chansein is celebrated throughout the Borderlands and in Arad Doman.
