The "Centipede Project" is the name of a science group behind the Centipede Serum. The group was organized, funded and led from the shadows by the HYDRA Agent John Garrett, aka "The Clairvoyant". Garrett used his high security clearance and access to classified S.H.I.E.L.D. information and psyche profiles to aid in his act as the "Clairvoyant".
