Al Self is a former NASCAR driver from Venice, CA. He competed in five Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Self's debut came in 1960, when he competed at Hanford. Starting 25th in the field of thirty-three, Self completed most of the race and drove his way to a career-best 10th place finish. He wasn't too shabby at Sacramento either, starting last (23rd) but driving to a 13th place finish.
