Eliyahu Binyamin Mofaz was born to an aristocratic family of both Luthori and Yeudi origin in Yishelem. He was raised in an intellectual environment with both his father and mother being noted intellectuals. His father was a Majatran History professor at the University of Yishelem, his mother was a noted feminist author. Mofaz graduated from high school in 3697 and read History at the University of Yishelem.
