The Régie intermunicipale des incendies de la Chaudière-Etchemin was created in 1993 with the amalgation of the following departments : * Charny * Saint-Jean-Chrysostome * Saint-Romuald * Sainte-Hélène-de-Breakeyville It was amalgamated with the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Lévis on January 1st 2002, when the four towns amalgamated along with five other towns with the city of Lévis.
