Gail Briscoe is the ex-girlfriend of Trumont Story, and the mother of Story's son. She was a tough woman who could have been a gang leader if she was a man. In 2012, she was visited by Los Angeles Police Department detectives David Chu, Harry Bosch, and Jordy Gant, who were searching for a Beretta model 92 used to murder Eddie Vaughn, Walter Regis, and Anneke Jesperson. Under the threat of a full-scale search, she led Gant to the hiding place of the weapon, under the washing machine.
