US Steel Lake Erie Works is a steel mill located near Nanticoke, Ontario. Originally opened by Stelco Steel in 1980, the Lake Erie Works were acquired by US Steel when it purchased the assets of bankrupt Stelco in 2007. Although there have been shutdowns and work stoppages, the operation has remained open, unlike the now-closed Hamilton Works.
