Ground Hummingbird (Allochirornis Yugonticus) is a species of very large ibis-like heron-size hummingbird, making it the largest hummingbird species on the planet. Also, unlike any other hummingbirds, it may feed on nectar, but it isn't restricted to nectar, it can also feed on human food, honey, insects, fish, small frogs, small reptiles, eggs of other birds, small mammals, and carrion, which is why this bird is much bigger than most other hummingbirds. It is native to swamps, marshlands, and grasslands of North America, but can survive extremely well into human settlements. Unlike other hummingbirds, they spend most of their time on the ground and their wing beat is not very fast at all compared to that of most other hummingbird species, only as fast as that of the American crows.
