Fire Machines is a computer manufacturing company located in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The company was founded in August of 2007 and launched in June of 2008 selling its first computer named the "Slyc". Fire Machines specializes in the production of energy efficient small form factor desktop computers. The Slyc can be used as media center personal computer, a home computer, or business machine. The company estimates the Slyc uses an average of 30 watts of energy compared to the average desktop computer which uses between 100 to 200 watts according to Fire Machines.
