The RG421PB features a mahogany body with a poplar burl top bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components inclue a fixed bridge and dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups. The RG421CW is a version with a claro walnut top and the RG421RW is similar but with a rosewood top. The RG421 is a version without the exotic top. The RG7421PB is a seven-string version.
