Heart House Dallas is a free afterschool educational program that provides a safe haven and academic support to at-risk children, while encouraging them to become good citizens. The organization operates primarily out of the Vickery Meadow neighborhood, in one of the most densely populated areas of the city. The Heart House program is offered to Kindergarden - 8th grade students daily based on the Dallas Independent School District schedule. Program elements include homework assistance, citizenship building, mentoring, and thematic curriculum.
