The Emperor's Regent was a position within the Sith Emperor's power base that centered on the leadership of the Empire on behalf of the Emperor himself while he was too distracted to deal with it, it was a rank that the Sith Emperor had been planning to find someone loyal that he could totally trust for this rank however it was revealed that he only intended for one person to have the rank all along, that person being his adopted sister Abeloth.
