Lewis Knox was a none-too-bright “associate” of gangster Fraser Henderson who accompanied his boss to The Hour Glass bar on the night in February 1997 that he met owner George Freeman there to discuss buying the premises. Ogling the women in the bar, he suggested that he, Fraser and Liz McDonald should join in with a Vicars and Tarts party that was in progress, prompting Liz to ask if she looked like a tart. Fraser diplomatically pointed out to his henchman that it wasn’t the greatest chat-up line ever.
