In the book, Teggs, Arx, Gipsy, and Iggy visit the planet of Atlantos to help Queen Soapi, the ruler of the bactrosaurs, a literally clean-living clan of plant-eating dinosaurs. Soapi has reported that their home, Kleen Island, is sinking and that the megalodon, led by their own monarch, King Fin, have begun to attack Kleen Island. The bactrosaur queen has some rather strange allies: a group of normally violent terror birds have settled on Kleen Island as well. Their leader, Gastro, claims that they mean no harm and are friendly vegetarian plumbers. However, the problems on Atlantos hide some dirty secrets as bactrosaurs and megalodon prepare for war. It's up to Teggs and the crew of the Sauropod to discover the truth about the terror birds before the two clans destroy each other!
