John James Flynt, Jr. (November 8, 1914 – June 24, 2007) was a United States Representative from Georgia. Born in Griffin, Georgia, Flynt attended the public schools and Georgia Military Academy (now the Woodward Academy). He later attended the University of Georgia at Athens where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Literary Society and received an A.B. in 1936. He served in the United States Army from 1936 to 1937 and again from 1941 to 1945; he was also a member of the United States Army Reserve.
