The Nishr campaign was a series of engagements between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Nishr resistance fighters against the Galactic Empire in 0 ABY. The natives attempted to uprise against the Imperial Army garrison of General Vin Kollis after his troops committed abuses against them. However, the popular uprising was quickly quelled, but the Rebel Alliance Special Forces were sent in to support those still fighting. After destroying the Imperial mobile tanks, Kollis withdrew the infantry and armor to his base in the mountains. After several attacks by insurgents and Rebel commandos, they amounted a large offensive at the Nishr capitol city. The battle resulted in the destruction of much of the city, and the deaths of all resistance fighters and commandos.
