The Helium Kidz was an early title for XTC, and arguably the most well-known of the pre-XTC titles. It lasted from approximately 1973 to 1976. At the time, the band performed New York Dolls-influenced glam rock while wearing their own homemade costumes. Though demos cut by XTC during their time as The Helium Kidz can be found on numerous bootlegs, none of the Kidz demos have been commercially released.
