The Soul Savers attack with Blizzaga, Thundaga, and Firaga every turn, and when low on MP uses Magic Drain to absorb MP from a party member. They cast Reflect on themselves when Wrexsoul is present, and heal him. If killed, the Soul Saver immediately revives. With their low HP and simple attacks the Soul Savers are mere nuisances. Their true purpose is due to how battles work in terms of programming: when Wrexsoul possesses a party member it is technically removed from the battle, and so if only Wrexsoul were present the battle would instantly end when it leaves the screen as there would be no remaining enemies. The Soul Savers exist to be present when Wrexsoul is not so the battle continues in spite of his absence.
