The Tough Puppy is a buggy in Jak 3. Kleiver gave it to Jak after being defeated in a desert race, and was used in the first "Race for artifacts" mission. It is fairly slow (though faster than the Gila Stomper), but has a decent jump due to its lightweight. While this small vehicle lacks the ability to fire any sort of weaponry, its tight handling, solid construction, and good stability counterbalances its defensive shortfalls, though because of its lack of raw power, or any substantial offensive advantages, it is mainly only used as a training or initiation vehicle. The composite alloy roll cage provides maximum protection should she take a tumble, but is far too flimsy to withstand much punishment from enemy bullets.
