Viv and Bob are losing customers and profits at the shop as the police investigation continues. Their private investigator arrives for an update and after he releases details of a key witness, Viv sneaks out to interrogate the witness herself. The witness is adamant she saw Viv at Freddie's house. Bob realises that Viv has gone to find the witness and when he hears the witness's positive ID of Viv he begins to doubt his wife. Val stacks The Woolpack's furniture outside as she gives the pub a spring-clean in preparation for the Village Pub of the Year contest. The Dingles take the opportunity to steal the furniture and when Val notices the furniture has gone she storms round to the Dingles. The Dingles send Val packing and she is forced to borrow furniture from elsewhere. A judge soon arriv
