Weston Allen Jets Flight 5910 was a scheduled passenger flight from Hamilton (YHM) to New York (JFK). About half way through the flight a hijacker attempted to take control of the cockpit after he had managed to get past security with a gun. The hijacker told the pilot to take the flight to Florida. The crew and passengers were able to restrain the hijacker and the plane continued to New York were the hijacker was arrested. A bomb was later found in his baggage-hold luggage, it was not armed. The gun was later found to be fake. Weston Allen Jets fully refunded every passenger and gave them a voucher for Weston Allen Jets worth $100. The injured Co-Pilot recieved $500 and 10 additional vacation days from the airline as a bonus. Upon landing in New York the hijacker was arrested.
