Wholeweal was a community of environmental activists in Llanfairfach, Wales, led by Professor Clifford Jones. It was given the derogatory nickname of Nuthutch by the locals. The members were mainly scientists. They were researching new sources of food production. Thanks to string-pulling by Jo Grant, the United Nations agreed to fund the Wholeweal commune as a research facility. Jones noted excitedly that this could mean "food for all", as well as new jobs for the Llanfairfach locals. (TV: The Green Death)
