Log-a-Log Big Club was a fierce shrew warrior living alone on the banks of the Great South Stream with only the company of a small beetle known as Grubwhacker. He ran a ferry boat service to those wishing to cross the stream, and met Martin the Warrior, Gonff the Mousethief, and Young Dinny the mole as they crossed the river on their quest to find Boar the Fighter. He assisted Martin and his friends on their quest by taking them as far as Bat Mountpit on his ship the Waterwing. It was destroyed in a waterfall however, and the friends were forced to continue their journey on foot.
