George Alfred Callahan (6 October 1876—14 November 1986) was a verified American supercentenarian. He was born in Winona County, Minnesota, to parents John Callahan (an Irish immigrant) and Sarah Josephine Callahan. Sarah died while he was still a child. To help supporting the family financially, George started working in a factory, as well as a truck driver. On 14 August 1897, he married Mary M. Lafond. He enlisted in the U.S. Army when United States entered World War 1 in 1917. He became a widow in 1964 after the death of his wife Mary.
