Karl Lee is a terran scientist and member of Nova Squadron. In 2503, Lee was stationed on the Palatine, a battlecruiser dispatched to Altara to investigate the disappearance of a ghost and the wrangler originally sent to locate her. A battle ensured against zerg that had been lured to the planet by a strange gas. The xenomorphs were defeated, and in the lull that followed, Lee was given command of a science team to investigate the gas. On the bridge, he reported to those present on what he had learnt.
