SS Teutonic was built for the White Star Line in 1889 at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast and was used for the transatlantic service from Liverpool to New York. She was the first British ship to be fitted as an armed merchant cruiser and also the last White Star ship to win the Blue Riband in 1891. She now serves as an armed merchant cruiser in the North Sea.
