Since the Personalised Shops update, the shop also offers free samples of the bronze sword, replacing the Melee Tutor giving away the training sword before the update. On 15 June 2010, a monkey named Dealga, who runs a store that sells dragon scimitars, was added to the Varrock Sword Shop. A Monkeyspeak amulet/Cramulet is not required in order to trade with Dealga.
