The planet was previously under the control of the Goa'uld who enslaved the inhabitants for generations. At an unknown date the Goa'uld abandoned the planet and the people began to live their new lives in freedom. In 1999, SG-1 along with Major John Hunter and his team SG-12 visited the planet. The inhabitants were friendly towards them and held a party in their honor. While there, The Team received a Goa'uld box that once belonged to the Supreme System Lord Ra which mentioned a secret stash of weapons. The team drawer of the people as a gift.
