Magic: The Gathering is a trading card game (TCG) or collectable card game (CCG) created by Richard Garfield and published by Wizards of the Coast (WotC). Often considered the game that put WotC on the map, it has been hugely successful for more than a decade now, making it the most long-lived game of its kind. It has spawned several books and comics, which explain some of the story behind the characters and spells featured in the cards.
