THREE's mind has been around. Stephan Andersen was once a Cobra Techno-Viper working on Cobra's Binary Assistant Technicians, but was killed in a raid by G.I. Joe. His mind was saved by Dr. Over-Kill, and his remains installed into one of his BATs. When Andersen-BAT was damaged by the G.I. Joe, Dr. Over-Kill rebuilt him into a prototype Transformer. Over-Kill saw this as a way of bringing back his fallen friend and of addressing Cobra's pressing need for solid front-line fighters.
