Padraic Dover was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Army. Holding the rank of Major in the Bordeaux Battalion of the King's Own Regiment, he served as liaison between the regiment and the Palace Guard Service during the reign of King Roger III. He was a member of the plot that resulted in Roger's assassination. It was hoped that he could discredit Justin Zyrr and gain Princess Elizabeth's hand in marriage. When Zyrr asked to speak with Dover, the major assaulted Zyrr, hoping to kill him. Monroe, the late king's treecat, attacked and killed Dover. (HHA2.3: QG)
