Nick Marlowe was the actor who portrayed "Colonel Danning" in the television series Wormhole X-Treme!. Danning seems to have been based on Martin Lloyd's fuzzy memories of Colonel Jack O'Neill, though the final character seems to bear little resemblance. In fact, Danning, with his pompous and libidinous nature, appears much more reminiscent of Star Trek’s "Captain Kirk." (SG1: "Wormhole X-Treme!")
