The New York Yankees traded for Ichiro Suzuki and cash on July 23, 2012 for DJ Mitchell (I'd prefer trading Adam Warren) and Danny Farquhar. In 2012, the Yankees were without Brett Gardner for most of the season and he was their only main base-stealing threat, so the team was without base stealing throughout the first half of the season and even though Ichiro has declined since 2009, he still can be a great player.... even if it's for half the season.
