Sidney Arthur Boyd (20 July 1880 - 2 November 1966) was a surgeon and local politician active in the Hampstead area. Born in Bedford, he received his medical training at Charing Cross Hospital and the London Hospital. He qualified as MRCS, LRCP in 1902 and MB from the University of London, going on to achieve a masters in 1907. His first post was a surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital in 1906. During the First World War he held a commission as a major in the Royal Army Medical Corps, and was twice mentioned in dispatches.
