The planetary geosciences division was a subdivision of the sciences division within Starfleet. On board the USS Enterprise-D, the planetary geosciences division laboratory was located in Room 0513, on Deck 10. In 2365, this lab was the headquarters of a planetary mineral survey led by Acting Ensign Wesley Crusher.
