Is the head of the Bureau of Internal Investigation, which is in turn unseen controller of the Federation. Commander Krane is featured prominently in the Auroran, Rebel, and Federation story lines. (spoiler) In the Auroran story line you assassinate her at the end of the story line which leads to eliminating the Federation. In the Rebel Story line, you arrest her and she is brought to trial, ending Bureau control of Federation policy. In the Federation storyline you become her protege and aid her in committing genocide against the Aurorans, and subjugating the Polaris. At the end of the Federation story line you are her successor and the player becomes head of the Bureau.
