Ofir (or Ofier) is a rich and, for Nordlings, mysterious realm, described in books by Borch Three Jackdaws, along with other far lands like Zanguebar, Barsa, and Hannu, as being "across the seas" and having very different fauna, like white horses with black stripes. Ofier is likely named after Ofir the land from which the biblical king Solomon trade for his gold. it is identified by researcher as either Now day Yemen, Afar region in Ethiopia, West India or a legendary mythical place.
