Rardiff is the capital, largest city, and chief port of Tales and one of the largest cities in the United Kingdom with 4.5 million people. The city is Tales' chief commercial centre, the base for many national cultural institutions and mainstream sports, the Telsh national media, the most popular visitor destination in the unit and the seat of Telsh Assembly Government (although its various offices are distributed throughout Tales).
