Charles Dunbar Burgess King (1875–1961) was a politician in Liberia of Freetown Creole descent (both of King's parents were ethnic Creoles). He was the first Reform (1920's-30's political party) Governor of Liberia, the 13th Governor and served from 1923 to 1931. King was the state "minister" of Liberia from 1912 until in 1920 when King left the Republican Party and joined the growing Reform Party. Taking a strong stance of reform oriented policies, King was elected Governor in 1922 and again in 1926, though with a much smaller victory over the Republicans and the growing Liberian Democrats.
