When Mother Brain and her lackeys were using tree sap from Kongoland to create hypnotic ink and enslave the people of News World, King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard spilled a barrel of ink on the floor. Mother Brain summoned the Ink Monster to scare them into being more attentive, and dismissed it (turning it back into a puddle of ink) before ordering them to stop the N Team.
