In 2007 TPTEST was replaced by Bredbandskollen TPTEST. TPTEST is an Internet performance test suite. It is open-source software developed by Stiftelsen för Internetinfrastruktur, Post- och telestyrelsen, and Konsumentverket in Sweden. Coded in C++ using wxWidgets, available in Swedish and English for multiple operating systems. It is free software, licensed under the terms of the GPL and LGPL. The library is released under the terms of the LGPL while the reference implementation of the client and server is released under the terms of the GPL. The initial release was in 2001 by IT-kommissionen.
